-
We welcome creatives of colour working in:

Multidisciplinary creative practice
-
We prioritise creatives who:
Have a clear style or voice
Communicate reliably
Honour deadlines
Align with our mission to elevate voices
We prioritise community over clout – you don’t need a big following or industry ties. You just need to be good at what you do and committed to your craft.
-
The Creative Directory is free to join, with approval based on suitability. Creatives set and share their own rates, which guide the scoping of campaigns and commissions. MADE IN KIN only earns when work is secured, through the overall cost of projects we originate, manage or deliver.
This covers:
Creating content for your profile (portfolio, creative bio, editorial features)
Amplification across our channels and newsletters
Preparing pitch materials (press releases, rate cards, etc.)
Pitching you for opportunities and matching briefs to your strengths
Managing brand and agency relationships
Negotiating fair and respectful contracts and rates
Managing communication and logistics
Ensuring invoices are paid promptly
-
Fill out the Join the Creative Directory form. Once approved, you’ll appear in the directory.
From there, we’ll begin pitching you to brands, agencies and organisations. You may also receive editorial features, event invitations and campaign briefs that align with your work. -
Not at all. You can work with anyone you like. We are an open door – not a locked gate.
-
We invoice the client, receive payment, and transfer your fee – minus our commission – within ten business days.
-
If a brand reaches out as a result of your MADE IN KIN profile or any visibility generated through the platform, the project will still be managed through the Studio.
This ensures the studio is fairly paid for the work we do behind the scenes and helps us manage communication, coordination and rate protection on your behalf.
