For Jem Juthamat, home has never simply been about interiors. It’s about memory, inheritance and the everyday rituals that make a space feel truly lived in. More often than not, that looks like wandering the aisles of Springvale’s grocery stores before returning home to cook her late mother’s recipes – small acts that continue to keep her connected to her Thai heritage.

Based in Naarm (Melbourne), Jem is the founder and creative director of Dosse Studio, where her calm, highly recognisable visual world has resonated with audiences for more than a decade. Working across interiors, styling, photography and creative direction, she has built a practice grounded in slow living – spaces shaped less by trend and more by atmosphere, restraint and emotional connection.

A recent collaboration with HEGI Design House reflects her growing desire to honour her cultural roots. The award-winning collection Baan – meaning “home” in Thai – draws from old-world architecture and the belief that furniture can hold memory, story and permanence.

While Jem’s work has led to global collaborations and a loyal online following, she speaks most thoughtfully about the life sitting beyond career milestones. Motherhood, heritage and nurturing others remain central to her world – all circling back to the same intention: creating a sense of home for the people around her.

Craft and practice

  • Interior styling for residential and brand spaces

  • Creative direction across lifestyle and interiors

  • Photography and content creation for design brands

  • Furniture, object and spatial curation

Dare we dream

“I’m most interested in working with people who share a similar ethos – thoughtful, intentional and grounded in story. Collaborating with a Thai designer one day, in a way that honours both culture and home, would feel incredibly special.”
