For Jude Galang, the distance between where you come from and where you’re going is full of possibility. It’s a philosophy that shapes FarFrom Studios, the creative agency he founded to connect brands with culture, communities and the people behind them.

With Filipino roots and a family migration story dating back to 1992, Jude’s connection to his homeland lives in familiar flavours, memories of his Lola and experiences shared with those he grew up alongside. Now based on Kaurna Country in Adelaide, he values Australia’s mix of cultures and the opportunities to learn from one another, bringing these influences into his creative outlook.

Working across creative strategy, storytelling and production, Jude is particularly drawn to projects that speak to the next generation. His work with brands such as Foot Locker and JD Sports reflects his belief that commercial creativity can be a powerful space for cultural representation, especially when it draws on real experiences rather than passing trends.

Creativity and business aren’t always easy companions, but Jude believes navigating both opens new possibilities. Beyond building brands, he wants to challenge narrow ideas of Australian creativity and help the next generation see their cultural identity as a strength, not something to leave behind.

Dare we dream

“I’d love to collaborate with Nike on a campaign that speaks to the next generation and reflects the communities I grew up around. More broadly, I want to see Australian brands embrace what our creative communities really look like, with greater representation and more honest conversations about culture. There’s so much potential when we bring our lived experiences into the work.”
