The Portrait Pop-Up invites MADE IN KIN’s first round of Talents to step in front of the camera for professional portraits that will feature on our website’s Talent Directory. Each portrait will also be gifted to Talents for their own use – portfolios, social media or any creative pursuit.
Arrive on the day dressed as you’d like to be captured. Expect a beautiful space and an editorial backdrop, but instead of a trendy or designer chair, our lineup of classic and colourful plastic chairs will be waiting. See our moodboard below for the vibe we’re creating.
Light refreshments will be provided, and a professional photographer will be capturing portraits throughout the day. Attendance for the whole shoot isn’t required – if you’re only available for a 1–2 hour window, please let us know your preferred time slots.
Things to bring:
Feel free to bring any items you’d like to be photographed with (your work, sentimental pieces, cultural objects, etc.).
Please also bring 1–3 photos of yourself that you have on hand – childhood images from your homeland, early days in Australia or meaningful milestones. We’ll have a scanner available, as we’d love to pair these nostalgic moments with your portraits when sharing them on MIK’s socials.
