MADE IN KIN invites you to our first major gathering, held within Ellison Studios’ concept space, The Lobby.

Founded by writer and creative Pauline Morrissey, MADE IN KIN is an emerging platform and creative studio celebrating the stories, talents and contributions of creatives of colour across Australia's diaspora communities.

Created in response to the ongoing underrepresentation of these communities within Australia's creative industries, MADE IN KIN exists to foster connection and opportunity through storytelling, events, creative collaborations and community-led initiatives.

Alongside networking and drinks, the evening will feature a brief panel discussion with Sebastian Pasinetti, Grace Guinto, Connie Cao and Bella Loke, exploring the importance of creating more meaningful change within Australia’s media and creative industries, and what a more representative creative future might look like.

There will also be a grazing table by Abigail Eng and Luke Poh of Supper Hour, music by Chichi Makwaza, a Migrant Photo Album projection by Tyron Tran, with the event photographed by Carlin Stephenson.

We'd love for you to join us.
