Curiosity is Chloe Morris’ compass. It’s what draws her outdoors with a camera in hand, chasing light, movement and meaning. Working on Naarm (Melbourne), she is a filmmaker and videographer led by story first – the kind that sparks wonder, invites reflection and leaves room for others to feel something.

Adopted from South Korea and raised by South Australian parents, Chloe grew up grounded in Australian culture before reconnecting with her Korean heritage in 2022. That reconnection has quietly reshaped her creative lens, while Australia’s ‘chase your dreams’ attitude gave her the confidence to pursue filmmaking in the first place. The encouragement to back herself, take risks and follow ideas – paired with a generous creative community – continues to fuel her practice.

Chloe feels most alive when work brings her into nature. One of her largest projects to date, THE HERDS, unfolded between April and August 2025, when she was commissioned by The Walk Productions to document life-size puppet animals travelling a 20,000km route from the Congo Basin to the Arctic Circle, symbolising their flight from climate disaster.

At the heart of Chloe’s work is a desire to tell meaningful stories that invite curiosity rather than answers. She believes in uplifting other creatives, sharing space generously, and letting the work speak louder than the path that led there.

Craft and practice

  • Visual storytelling across film and photography, with a strong focus on mood and narrative

  • Videography and photography for tourism, fashion and creative brands

  • Location-based storytelling, often centred on nature, environment and culture

  • Technical shooting across land, water and air, including underwater and drone work

Dare we dream

“I’m drawn to projects that explore culture and the environment through storytelling. I’d love to collaborate with brands like Arc’teryx and Patagonia, and one day work on a documentary with National Geographic. Stories around sustainability and the natural world fulfil me most, while still leaving room for imagination and creative vision.”
